Max Romano, Marcus and Peatrovich Papp took their oaths today swearing to the Home Stone of Caer Cadarn.

 

[16:07] Aegeus (admiraljeff): Welcome men, warrior men of steel and honor

[16:08] Aegeus (admiraljeff): Caer Cadarn has existed for a long time here in Second Life Gor, but it has always been a private estate.

[16:09] Aegeus (admiraljeff): As a village grew around the Black Tarn Tavern and Inn, and slowly became a true Gorean community, Men would come to Gorm and ask what they must do to pledge to the Home Stone of Caer Cadarn.

[16:09] Peatrovich Papp: Aye

[16:09] Aegeus (admiraljeff): and Gorm would tell them.  Caer Cadarn has no Home Stone

[16:09] Aegeus (admiraljeff): and Gorm  would wonder, as Tarl did in the book, Raiders of Gor,

[16:10] Aegeus (admiraljeff): Did Men not love Caer Cadarn enough, because she had no Home Stone, or did Caer Cadarn not have a Home Stone because Men did not truly love her and what she stood for?

[16:10] Aegeus (admiraljeff): Gorm reflected on this.

[16:10] Peatrovich Papp listens

[16:11] Aegeus (admiraljeff): The city of Ko-ro-ba had taught Gorm  that to have a Home Stone,  it must reflect Honor.   Honor had to be at the core of everything.  When Gorm pledged to the Home Stone of Ko-ro-ba,  GormI was told by the Ubar to behave in such a manner at all times as to cause people to say, when they saw a Man of Koroba, "there walks Honor."

[16:12] Aegeus (admiraljeff): And the city of Glorious AR taughtGorm that to have a Home Stone, it must reflect a commitment.  Even if everyone else walks away,,,you must stand firm and keep the vision of the Home Stone alive.  It must reflect a vision that rises above the walls of a city or the huts of a village, and is bigger than the people even, and is so powerful that it can withstand any storm.

[16:13] Aegeus (admiraljeff): and as Gorm looked around, and I saw Honor, and he saw commitment, and he saw a vision that was bigger than any structure or person, and I asked a question.

[16:14] Aegeus (admiraljeff): then one day a free said,  I reason that Caer Cadarn has the strength and honor to have a Home Stone.

[16:14] Aegeus (admiraljeff): Gorm replyed,   Perhaps, Caer Cadarn does have a Home Stone, and just has not found it yet?    How does a village obtain a Home Stone?

[16:16] Aegeus (admiraljeff): at that point Gorm look around the crowed gathers and pointed to a slave girl and told her to to to water and  select a stone, and bring it to him

[16:17] Aegeus (admiraljeff): once the girl retrund with a rock from the nearby water Gorm held the Stone up and said Caer Cadarn does have a Home Stone.

[16:17] Aegeus (admiraljeff): With Gorm own kiife he carved two C into the rock

[16:18] Aegeus (admiraljeff): once this was done Gorm

[16:18] Max Romano (gaiomaximo.romano) whispers...yeah

[16:18] Aegeus (admiraljeff): Gorm siad I hold in my hand the Home Stone of Caer Cadarn.  It is my Home Stone.  This I will defend.  This I will serve.  This I will always Honor.

 [16:19] Aegeus (admiraljeff) reaches over and picks up the home stone and hold out and above my head
 [16:19] Aegeus (admiraljeff): This is my Home Stone,  This I will defend.  This I will serve
 [16:19] Aegeus (admiraljeff): This I will Honor
 [16:20] Aegeus (admiraljeff): Walkes over to Marcus and hands him the Home Stone Pleadge your self then pass it on to the next

[16:20] Drusus (tippy.carver): Honor Above All

[16:21] Marcus (marcus242.string): takes the Stone

[16:22] Marcus (marcus242.string): holds over his head" With this Stone, I do pleadge my heart my steal to my Home Stone" Caer Cadarn

[16:23] Marcus (marcus242.string): passes it back to Aegueus to continue

[16:23] Aegeus (admiraljeff) smiles as watch my new Brother to the home Stone

[16:24] Aegeus (admiraljeff) takes the Home Stone in both hands and walk to Max and hands him the Home Stone take you pledge to the Home Stone then pass it to Peat for his Pledge

[16:25] Max Romano (gaiomaximo.romano) grabs and raises proudly the Homestone from Aegeus hands..."I promise to serve and protect Caer Cadarn til my last breath..to this i pledge ..honor and steel brothers!"

[16:25] Max Romano (gaiomaximo.romano) passes slowly the Homestone to Peat.."there brother!"

[16:25] Peatrovich Papp peat... smiles and pledges his honor and life to this home stone

[16:26] Aegeus (admiraljeff) smile as I see another brother join the our Home Stone
